"UNTHREAD DOESN’T AIM TO ELIMINATE TEXTILES WASTE. INSTEAD, IT AIMS TO REDUCE IT THROUGH EDUCATION."

For my Final Major Project, I created a 300-page InDesign research document, including both primary and secondary data, focusing on finding a way of incorporating a sustainability education into primary schools across the UK. The app prototype 'Unthread' was created using Figma. The final outputs for the exhibition show included: a crocheted interactive element, a video walkthrough of the app, printed business cards, printed how-to guides, and printed posters.

I was fortunate to have the opportunity to teach a class of 90 primary school children as part of the research for the project. I then presented the findings at a conference, attended by industry professionals and academics, which boosted my confidence both in speaking to groups, and presenting data in a format that is simple to understand.
